The passenger cabin of the Boeing 777 is based on the current design (layout, fittings, etc.) of Alitalia long-haul aircraft, and is divided into two classes: Magnifica Business (42 seats) and Economy (249 seats) for a total of 291 seats. The main features of the cabin are its adaptability and the large amount of space and headroom for passengers. In addition, the overhead lockers, on the sides and above the centre aisle, open downwards making it easier for passengers to stow their hand luggage. Passengers travelling in Magnifica Business class can make use of an espresso coffee machine, as well as an open-bar specially designed for the B777. All the galleys are equipped with a dual heating system: traditional and steam oven. The steam oven makes it possible to cook food more quickly while preserving the freshness and flavour. The cabin has nine toilets. The three in Magnifica Business class are located in the upper part of the cabin with separate access. One of them is specially designed for easy access by disabled and handicapped people.
